In most cases, manufacturers directly request the transport of finished goods from our local branch or partner. In this case, your freight forwarder acts on your behalf. Incorrect transport bills which are due to non-coordinated transport requests or dead freights will be at your expense. Therefore, it is very important that the transport request can be clearly understood, is correct and complies with your specifications as it forms the basis for freight calculation. This is why you should inform your freight forwarder about the loading instructions, in particular concerning hanging goods or other particularities.

It is in your best interest that we want to structure the freight price flexibly with regards to fuel prices. The usual reaction of our industry to a rise in fuel prices is to raise a surcharge. So why shouldn't there also be a price reduction in case of falling fuel costs? In this respect, we want to achieve transparency for you.

If the average fuel prices change, we will from now on also change our transport costs. This will be done as follows: the applied basic price is €0.6490 for 1 litre of diesel. This price is based on the average mean monthly prices of the years 2000 – 2003.

A deviation of the mean monthly prices from the basic price of up to 4.5% - whether up or down – does not require any adjustment. However, in case of an increase of the monthly average prices above this limit, we charge a freight surcharge on the transport price at the amount of 0.5% for each 1 euro cent by which the price changed. In case of a decrease in prices, we grant a corresponding deduction of 0.5%. If the price rises above a monthly mean price of 0.757€/l, the price adjustment will only amount to 0.25% per litre diesel. In the process of outward processing, less import charges are incurred due to the previous export of the raw goods. The proof of such export is provided by means of an outward processing certificate (export declaration with indication of outward processing) accompanying the goods. These export documents are returned to us after transport by the carrier or our customs agent at the border. As soon as we receive the documents, they will be forwarded to you. Please note that it is important to mark the documents with RET-EXP. However, delays occur rather often causing the imported goods to arrive before the documents. In this case, provided your competent main customs office gives their consent, an alternative proof of the export can be presented.

Usually, the export certificate for turnover tax purposes together with a copy of the receipted CMR bill of lading will be sufficient; for more information, please contact your competent customs office.

Unfortunately, damages may occur during transport. Concerning cross-border circulation, the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR = Convention relative au contrat de transport international de marchandises par route) applies.

For damages to goods, it provides the following liability limitations:

Delay in delivery: max. freight value

In case of light-weight goods, differences between the goods value and the maximum liability amount of the freight forwarder can easily arise. This difference should be covered by transport insurance. You can assign the task of purchasing the insurance to us and we will insure each individual shipment for you. In case of damages, we will take charge of the settlement with the insurer on your behalf.

Even before production, we take a close look at fabrics and ingredients: For example, we test fabrics in state-accredited laboratories, label and document faulty fabrics and take on repair services. When the finished textiles and fashion collections come out of production, we take another close look at them. At the request of our customers, we detect defects and evaluate them statistically. Your individual requirements are decisive for our quality assurance.

Specially trained textile finishers ensure that your goods have a brilliant appearance in our finishing department. What does textile finishing involve for us? We smooth your textiles by tunnelling, dolling, topping, multi-shaping or ironing them by hand.

On request, we can carry out many final touches on your fashion collections. Our understanding of fashion logistics also includes a wide range of value-added services, e.g. sewing on buttons, attaching security labels or hanging flat goods on hangers. We are also happy to handle returns for you.
