Quality that makes an impact: How the Betty Barclay Group
delivers a first-class brand experience through smart logistics

The Betty Barclay Group brings together eight women’s fashion brands and a total of 15 lifestyle collections. Its wide-ranging portfolio of styles and collections spans everything from classic basics and business attire to elegant evening wear. For logistics, this means complex requirements for stock and product range management. At the same time, the premium brand’s high quality standards demand integrated checks and preparation services throughout the supply chain. Together with its long-standing logistics partner Meyer & Meyer, the fashion company is rising to the challenges – and excelling in reliability, speed and flexibility.

Reliability: Textile finishing ensures that wow factor

The Betty Barclay Group’s garments are renowned for their high quality. This makes it all the more important to preserve this quality – both before the garments arrive at the store and when they are dispatched to the end customer. Every item is carefully inspected and professionally reconditioned where necessary. “We meet the very high standards our customers expect of us,” emphasises Andreas Süß, Director of Supply Chain Management at the Betty Barclay Group. “Every garment leaves the logistics centre in immaculate condition. Even the smallest imperfections are rectified.”

Flexibility: successfully managing peak periods

As the business grew and with the aim of further improving the quality of deliveries, the Betty Barclay Group opted for an automated logistics solution. It was integrated directly into Meyer & Meyer’s hanging garment infrastructure. The results were not long in coming – faster turnaround times were immediately noticeable. “We see the success in even higher customer satisfaction, because we can deliver orders much more quickly,” summarises Andreas Süß.

Speed: Automation boosts efficiency

Peak periods put a strain on logistics. With the right styles for every season, the Betty Barclay Group sees a significant surge in demand, especially at the start of each season. The key is a logistics system that responds flexibly to fluctuating volumes and processes them reliably. The result is short delivery times and satisfied end customers. “We forecast volume data very accurately—that’s a major advantage for successful logistics,” Andreas Süß continues. “In addition, our weekly communication with Meyer & Meyer ensures that changes are communicated quickly and necessary adjustments are implemented. We grow together and remain just as efficient even during peak periods.”
