Meyer & Meyer employees donate gifts for orphanages
Osnabrück, 28.05.2019. Employees of the Osnabrück fashion logistics company Meyer & Meyer have made institutionalised children in Osnabrück and Braunschweig particularly happy. As part of an employee donation campaign at Easter, employees donated over 200 gifts to Don Bosco Kath. Jugendhilfe in Osnabrück and St. Nikolaus Kinder- und Jugendhilfe Braunschweig. "As a company, we also bear social responsibility. Meyer & Meyer, for example, has been supporting the Child Protection Association in Osnabrück for many years. This year, too, we wanted to launch a campaign that benefits children and has a regional connection to our locations in Osnabrück and Peine," explains Maren Fathmann, Chief Human Resources Officer at Meyer & Meyer. Since March, employees have been able to draw notes with the sex and age of a child and obtain a suitable gift. At Easter, the HR department handed over a total of 215 lovingly packaged gifts to the facility managers of Don Bosco House Osnabrück and St. Nikolaus Kinder- und Jugendhilfe in Braunschweig near Peine, representing the entire team. They expressed their heartfelt gratitude and emphasized that for many of the children, the gesture of receiving a gift alone - regardless of Easter - was something very special. "It was great that our team was so committed and donated so diligently", Maren Fathmann is also pleased.
