Farewells and changes in the management
Osnabrück, 29th June 2020. The Osnabrück-based fashion logistics company Meyer & Meyer is preparing its subsidiary WKS Textilveredlungs-GmbH for the future with new appointments to its management: After two new managing directors, Jörg Brune and Michael Hofmann, have been successfully introduced and trained over the past few months, long-time owner Dr. Wilfried Holtgrave will officially leave the management of the international system provider for quality assurance of fashion and lifestyle products on 1 July 2020. However, he will continue to be available to WKS as a consultant until at least the end of 2020 before he retires.
"WKS is an important part of Meyer & Meyer's service portfolio and we are growing together continuously. Dr. Wilfried Holtgrave has professionally positioned his successor in the management of WKS in recent months. This process has now come to an end and we have therefore jointly decided that, after more than 35 successful years, it is the right time to retire," explains Meyer & Meyer's CEO Maximilian Meyer.
Dr. Wilfried Holtgrave had been a shareholder and managing director of WKS since 1985. After the sale of his company to Meyer & Meyer in autumn 2018, he had already given priority to the strategic orientation and handed over the operative business to his long-standing management colleague Jörg Brune. In May 2019 Jörg Brune was officially appointed Managing Director. He has been working for WKS for more than 15 years and is responsible for operations and sales.
After Dr. Wilfried Holtgrave had announced that he would be leaving the company before the end of 2020, Michael Hofmann was recruited as a further managing director for the company. He has 25 years of professional experience in various functions at an international fashion retailer. At WKS, Michael Hofmann is responsible for administrative and commercial management and is driving forward the integration of the QA specialist into the Meyer & Meyer Group.
"We are convinced that Jörg Brune and Michael Hofmann will successfully shape the development of WKS and we are pleased that Dr. Wilfried Holtgrave will continue to support us in an advisory capacity until the end of the year with his wealth of experience," says Maximilian Meyer.
