How did you get your professional training as a forwarding and logistics services clerk at Meyer & Meyer?
Meyer & Meyer is very present on training sites and platforms where you can find out about apprenticeships. That's how I became aware of Meyer & Meyer. Since my uncle works as a freight forwarder himself, he told me a lot about the profession and introduced me to the field. As a result, I already got to know the profession to some extent and my interest in entering this field myself was aroused.
What did you expect from your professional training at Meyer & Meyer and were your expectations met?
I expected to learn many new and interesting things. I have to say that my expectations have been completely fulfilled so far. I've already learned an incredible amount of new things and I'm looking forward to this continuing throughout the rest of my training period.
Which tasks did you particularly enjoy during the first few months of your training? Were there any tasks that you didn't like so much?
So far, I have enjoyed all the tasks. I've learned that you often face challenges in the field of freight forwarding. But if you get involved and work well, you can master them. Then even the challenging tasks are really fun.
How were you integrated into the company as a trainee? Did you feel sufficiently looked after?
I was really integrated very well as a trainee. I always had the opportunity to ask questions and was always helped. I also felt adequately looked after at all times. Despite this currently difficult time, someone was always there for me and actively supported me in my learning.
What tips do you have for those who are also interested in an professional training at Meyer & Meyer?
My tip is to have an open mind. The job is sometimes exhausting, but it's really fun if you're open to new things and get involved. I was totally nervous when I applied, because Meyer & Meyer is a really big and well-known company in Osnabrück and the surrounding area. However, this nervousness was almost gone during the interview. The people here are super friendly and the interview was totally relaxed. I came with the expectation that things would be rather more strict here, but I was taught better. Because the opposite is the case here, both at the interview and afterwards.
