Meyer & Meyer receives BGHW prize
Successful title defending: At the end of 2018 Meyer & Meyer received an honorary prize from the Berufsgenossenschaft Handel- und Warendistribution (BGHW) for the second time in a row after 2017. With its prevention prizes, the BGHW awards member companies for innovative ideas and campaigns that improve occupational safety and health in the workplace. Meyer & Meyer was awarded this year for its safety check concept. With the Safety Checks, employees are asked to identify potential safety risks in their area of work and to report them. Possible sources of danger are thus eliminated preventively. In a small ceremony shortly before the end of the year, BGHW representatives presented the prize in the form of a golden hand to the occupational safety team. "As a Golden Hand winner, you show that safety and health at work are part of your corporate culture," says the BGHW. "We are delighted to receive this award for our Safety Check concept. The win for the second time in row shows that our various occupational safety measures are outstanding in Germany and is motivation for us to continue working consistently for safe and healthy workplaces," says Rubina Kirsch, Team Leader Health & Safety at Meyer & Meyer.
