On Monday, August 3rd, 2020, a new phase in the lives of 14 young people began: Over the next three years, they will complete an apprenticeship or a dual study programme at Meyer & Meyer's Osnabrück and Peine locations. The entire spectrum of apprenticeship professions in logistics is represented: From forwarding and logistics services clerks to professional drivers and warehouse logistics specialists. "Vocational training has a very high priority at Meyer & Meyer. We are very pleased that we have once again been able to attract so many committed young people to our company and wish all trainees an interesting and instructive time," says Eva Hummel-Schröer, the person responsible for training. At Meyer & Meyer, the start of the apprenticeship was traditionally marked by the welcome days: Getting a first insight into the company and facilitating the start of the training - that is the aim of the two days. The programme for the 12 Osnabrück-based and two Peiner trainees includes a presentation of the management and the works council, a company presentation, games to get to know each other, a safety training course, information on training, group work and PC training. The days are co-organized by the apprentices of the 2nd and 3rd year. In this way, the prospective (fashion) logistics specialists start the three-year training period in the best possible way. A big thank you at this point once again to the Osnabrück-based company slashwhy, which made its large premises available for the event so that distance and safety were guaranteed for all participants.
