All distribution channels - one inventory

The Schöffel brand originated in 1804 and began trading in knitwear. The company has developed over many generations. Starting with a textile trade, through a clothing store to a trouser factory, the company was passed on from generation to generation and expanded.  When new coating methods were invented, Schöffel and GORETEX entered into a partnership. This was the breakthrough that has ensured Schöffel's continued success to this day and has made the company one of the leading manufacturers of functional ski and outerwear in the German-speaking world.
Meyer & Meyer contributes its know-how and many years of experience to the development of an integrated solution along the entire value chain. Process analyses and benchmarks were created as part of a comprehensive consultation process in order to develop potential for improvement within the supply chain. The processes in the warehouse have to be adapted to the challenges of e-commerce and to rising customer expectations. Flexibility, networking and speed are the key factors for future logistics.

The solution: Intelligent linking-up through innovative IT solutions

After the consulting process, parts of the supply chain were reassigned. WKS is a long-standing partner of Meyer & Meyer in the Sourcing Solutions division and handles raw materials logistics for Schöffel in Hungary. The area of finished goods logistics was completely restructured and switched from manual to fully automated processing. A multi-client-capable warehouse management system makes it possible to display goods from two warehouse locations in parallel, i.e. using the IT solution ensures data transparency over the entire hanging and lying goods logistics from one system. The result is fast, efficient and secure control of the entire quantity of goods in the logistics process. In addition, the processes from incoming goods through quality and value-added services to outgoing goods have been optimized to ensure consistent capacity utilization and increased flexibility. Due to the holistic approach in warehousing, branches and end customers from the e-commerce business can be loaded quickly and flexibly from a stock. With the transport management tool PERFORM, Meyer & Meyer also ensures optimum performance in retail transport: An innovative system interface for all countries, service levels and service providers searches for the optimum transport solution for each order on the basis of individually defined parameters.

The added value for Schöffel

Through consulting services and consideration of the entire supply chain, Schöffel and Meyer & Meyer were able to jointly realize significant optimization potential. The intelligent linking of IT systems now creates maximum transparency for all goods stocks in the warehousing process and enables fast and flexible control of the goods in different distribution channels.   Schöffel also benefits from a high level of automation. This ensures higher process reliability and faster and more flexible processing. This reduces the effort and costs for warehousing.
Thanks to innovative software, the retail process could also be adapted in such a way that the customer benefits from a best-in-class solution that ensures the ideal transport solution for every order.
Performance through experience and know-how. Meyer & Meyer - your fashion partner - from sheep to shop!
