Meyer & Meyer apprentices win "Career Clip Award"
Apprentices realize a short video clip on their own responsibility, which gives authentic insights into their training company and the career location Osnabrück in a creative and entertaining way: This is the idea behind the Career Clip Award, a joint project of the Verein für Wirtschaftsförderung in Osnabrück e.v. (Association for Economic Development in Osnabrück), the Osnabrück Economic Development Corporation, the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and the Osnabrück Film Passage. The Meyer & Meyer apprentices from the Osnabrück headquarters took part and were delighted to receive 1st place and 1,500 € prize money at the awards ceremony in mid-December. Second place went to apprentices from Schoeller Technocell GmbH & Co. KG, the third place went to the young generation of Dieckmann Bauen + Umwelt GmbH & Co. KG. Over several weeks in late summer 2018, a team of apprentices had worked independently on the video. The questions to be answered included "What offers make your company an attractive training company" or "What facts make Osnabrück a particularly attractive career location?" The result was a colourful mix of impressions of the company and pictures of the typical Osnabrück way of life, which not only convinced the jury, but also gave potential apprentices and specialists a brief but authentic look at working at Meyer & Meyer and the diversity of the Osnabrück region. "I am very proud of our apprentices, who worked on this project with great enthusiasm and discipline," says Eva Hummel-Schröer, HR manager. CHRO Maren Fathmann was also impressed by the commitment of the junior staff: "Congratulations to our apprentices! The project has not only promoted self and social competence, but at the same time makes a valuable and authentic contribution to our employer marketing."
